Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. She is currently the president and the controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss, who is originally from California was born into an exceptionally wealthy family. Jerry Buss' father was a real-estate magnate who later owned the Lakers along with several other companies in the field of sports. The emotional strain she felt was exacerbated when her parents separated in 1972. She joined her family's business at the age of 19 to become the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. Then she founded the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. Her first role was vice-president for the Lakers before she assumed the role of President of Great Western Forum. Buss took over the Lakers by her dad in 2013.
